Mexico defeats Costa Rica and faces the United States in the Nations League final
Mexico defeated Costa Rica on penalties (5-4) after the match ended in a goalless draw, to qualify for the final of the CONCACAF Nations League, where it will meet the United States, who beat Honduras 1-0.
Mexico's difficult victory came thanks to the brilliance of goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa, who saved the decisive and fifth penalty shootout by Alan Cruz of Costa Rica, to give his country a ticket to qualify for the final.
Despite Costa Rica's superiority in the match, it did not succeed in translating the opportunities it had into goals, to enter the third-place play-off against Honduras.
