Porn star Mia Khalifa: Lebanese President Michel Aoun banned me on Instagram, and also the former Lebanese Foreign Minister did the same thing
Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) - Former Lebanese porn star, Mia Khalifa, said former Foreign Minister Gebran Bassil has blocked her Instagram account.
Mia Khalifa published a "Story", on her Instagram account, in which she says that Bassil banned her, as did Lebanese President Michel Aoun.
While it is not clear the reason for this, but Mia's tweets in recent days, through her Twitter account, have included comments about Basil's exposure to US sanctions, which he described as "injustice."
Last Friday, America included the leader of the Free Patriotic Movement, on the sanctions list, and accused him of corruption. She said he has a close relationship with the Lebanese Hezbollah.
On the same day, Mia Khalifa wrote a satirical tweet, retweeting what US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo wrote about Basil's punishment.
Mia Khalifa's interaction with the situation in her country has emerged, especially since the Beirut Port explosion on August 4, which killed at least 200 people and more than 6 thousand wounded.
At that time, Mia put her personal glasses at auction on eBay, in an attempt to collect donations for the Lebanese Red Cross, to help support its efforts during the aftermath of the explosion.
Mia used to criticize the political elite, headed by President Michel Aoun, who criticized his position during the explosion, through a short video that she posted on her account through the "Tik Tok" application.
Lebanon is facing difficult economic conditions doubled by the port explosion, at a time the country is trying to recover from the impact of the accident.
