Amber Heard in Europe with her daughter... What's on her mind?
Despite the recently dismissed appeal from Johnny Depp's legal team against Amber Heard, Heard appears to be beginning a new chapter in her life and focused on moving forward. Five months after the defamation trial between her and ex-husband Johnny Depp ended, a source told People that the Aquaman star, 36, is focusing on raising her 18-month-old daughter, Onag, who are currently living abroad together.
"The trial was stressful for her," the insider says of Heard. She missed her little daughter.” The source adds that Heard has spent the past few months in Europe, which she loves, and that the actress would like to be just a mother there.
The source says: “She is focusing on raising her daughter. She spends every day with her girl, strolling through the parks and enjoying family time. Amber is a great mother.”
The trial of Johnny Depp and Amber Heard
Back on June 1, a seven-person jury found Heard defamed her ex-husband Depp, 59, in a 2018 op-ed on domestic violence, though she didn't mention him by name in the article. Depp won all three of his defamation lawsuits and received more than $10 million in damages. Meanwhile, Heard won one of her three counterclaims and was awarded $2 million in damages.
Judge Benny Azcaret rejected Heard's request to annul the trial in July. Shortly after Heard formally appealed the ruling later that month, Depp's legal team announced that they would also appeal the counterclaim ruling. Last Wednesday, Depp's legal team filed the suit in the Virginia Court of Appeals against Amber Heard's wrongful counterclaim win, arguing that the ruling was wrong and should be overturned.
Lawyers on behalf of the Hollywood actor said the ruling in favor of the Aquaman star was fatally flawed, while those in Depp's favour should stand.
Amber Heard has disappeared from Twitter
Meanwhile, several outlets noted Thursday that Amber Heard is no longer on Twitter, after her ex-boyfriend Elon Musk purchased the app.
Although Amber Heard is known to be an active member of the social network, realamberheard is not. A screen now appears on the page that says “This account does not exist.”
While Heard still has an Instagram account with 5.3 million followers, her last post was her June 1 statement after the Virginia libel trial ruling with Depp.
