Toshiko Ujibe arrested a Japanese woman. She asked the police what to do with her son's corpse Mystery surrounds the fate of a Japanese woman who called the police to her home for help, asking what she could do about her son's corpse, which was found rotting in a corner of the house days after his death.

Police said that the officers arrived at the home of Toshiko Ojibi, 76, where she was staying with her son in the Asaminami neighborhood of Hiroshima, and encountered a foul odor that turned out to be the remains of her 53-year-old son Kenji.

"When the police found the body and conducted a preliminary examination, it was found that her son had probably died about 10 days ago," Police Officer Hisaru Oyimoto told the Japanese "Vice News" website.

The police did not publish any details about the circumstances surrounding the death, and said that the body was lying on a sofa with multiple traces of wounds in the neck, while the exact cause of death was not clear, which is expected to be determined after the autopsy.

The officers stated that the owner of the house appeared to be a perpetrator and did not know what to do, while it was not clear why she had not informed the police at the time of the accident.
