Dr. Ahmed El-Nokrashy, a therapeutic nutritionist, revealed the best ways to divide the daily meals so that the human body can benefit from them better and to get an ideal and healthy body.
He added during his interview with the "Hekki An" program, broadcast on the first channel, that carbohydrates are the main source of energy, pointing out that they have an effective result with sport to provide energy within the body.
He explained that the human body needs 5 daily meals divided throughout the day, adding that studies confirm that the body needs two to three hours before exercising to provide 2.5 grams of carbohydrates per kilo of the human body.
He pointed out that the meals that are eaten before exercising must contain complex carbohydrates that are not rapidly absorbed into the human body, such as brown bread, rice and pasta, adding that if a person exercises only an hour a day, he does not need carbohydrates during exercise, but if he exercises more than an hour. It needs 20 to 60 grams of fast-absorbing carbohydrates at a rate every hour, such as all kinds of fruits or energy drinks for athletes that contain carbohydrates, sodium and potassium to raise muscle efficiency without any cramps during exercise.
He explained that after exercise, the body needs carbohydrates at a rate of one gram per kilo in the body within an hour to two hours after completing the exercise.
