Twitter firm action against Trump account for the violence
The Twitter platform decided to ban interaction or participation in the tweets of the outgoing US President Donald Trump today, Thursday, against the background of the outbreak of violence and protests in Washington, DC, which Trump had called for days ago.
This was as Trump called on his supporters to return to their homes, after the situation got out of control and protesters stormed the Congress building, prompting lawmakers to flee.
The demonstrators chanted slogans rejecting the results of the US presidential elections, which resulted in the victory of his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.
And the US police chief announced that the security forces had arrested 13 people, all of whom were not residents of Washington, DC.
He said in a press statement that the police confiscated 5 weapons in the riots in the capital.
