Biden threatens White House employees: I will fire you immediately if any White House employee insults a colleague
US President Joe Biden has said that he will not tolerate any employee in the White House insulting a colleague and will be immediately fired from work.
"I'm not joking when I say this," Biden said during the swearing-in ceremony for White House staff. "If I hear that you are treating another colleague with disrespect, I will dismiss you immediately."
He continued: "Immediately, there are no exceptions or reservations, everyone, everyone has the right to be treated with dignity and respect," according to "CNN".
He added, "This has been largely missing during the past four years (referring to the time of his predecessor, Donald Trump," and "but I am sure you have the ability to do that."
On his first day at the White House, the new president said: "We have a lot to do, I know you, I know your heart, your dedication, and your commitment to this nation, and I know you can do it."
He added, "We will be judged whether or not we have restored the integrity and competence of this government."
He continued, "We will do so through leadership with the core American values of unity, humility, trust, collegiality, diversity, competence, and family."
"I need your help desperately," Biden said. "The last thing I say, I'm going to make mistakes." When he committed it, I will admit it and tell you, I will need your help to help me correct it. ”
