The video, broadcast by Al-Akhbariya, monitored the moment the first Qatari car crossed Saudi Arabia.

The Al-Arabiya correspondent reported that the first Qatari car had entered Saudi Arabia through the Salwa border crossing after it was reopened.

The Saudi Ministry of Health had continued its efforts to equip the Salwa border crossing with Qatar to start receiving arrivals to Saudi Arabia in the coming hours.

In the same context, the Saudi Ministry has taken a number of measures to equip the border crossing, which did not differ from the procedures followed in general with those wishing to enter the Kingdom.

The Saudi Al-Akhbariya channel indicated that Qataris wishing to enter the Kingdom will have to bring a PCR certificate proving that the owner is free from the emerging corona virus.

And those coming from countries that witnessed the emergence of the mutated strain of the virus, such as Britain and South Africa, will have to stay in isolation for a period of two weeks inside their countries before coming to the Kingdom.

In 2017, the Saudi authorities issued a decision to permanently close the only port of Salwa between the Kingdom and Qatar, after the decision to boycott the State of Qatar, protests against its policies and interference in the internal affairs of the countries of the region.

The Salwa border crossing with Qatar is the only land crossing that used to connect the Qataris with the rest of the world, but the crossing was opened in one of the Hajj seasons, as well as for the transfer of humanitarian cases.
