Some important points in the Egyptian labor law that every worker should know
Rights of the worker in the private sector:
1- The worker has the right to 21 days of annual leave, from which he can benefit from 6 months after his appointment.
2- The worker has the right to 30 days of annual leave instead of 21 days in the event that he has completed 10 years of insurance or reached the age of 50 years, whichever is earlier.
3- The worker has the right to 6 occasional days out of the 21 days, from which he can benefit from a maximum of two days each time, provided that he informs the employer as soon as the accidental cause occurs or the next day, and the employer has no right to refuse it.
4- In industrial establishments, the worker has the right to take a sick leave one month with full pay, 8 months at 75% wage and 3 months without pay, and he is offered a medical commission
5- In non-industrial establishments, the insured worker has the right to take a 180-day sick leave with a wage of 75% in the first 90 sick days, and 85% in the next 90 days
6- It is your right as a worker that when you are hired, you are insured from the first day, or if the company will not insure you from the first day, the insurance is done retroactively 3 months
7- A copy of the contract must be taken, either in the first time or in cases of renewal
8- If the contract is not renewed, it is considered an automatic approval of the renewal, and if its date is not specified in the determination, it is considered an open-ended contract.
9- After 5 years of complete insurance with an employer, you will be entitled to the right to take Hajj leave for Muslims or the Holy House for Copts and it will be a full month paid
10 - The female has the right to take a maternity leave in the event that she has been insured for 10 months with the employer for a period of 3 months, and this is for a period of 3 times throughout the period of service, and maternity leave may start from the sixth month
