Agreement to produce more than 100 million doses of "Sputnik V" annually in India
The Russian Direct Investment Fund and the Indian drug manufacturer "Hetero" agreed to produce more than 100 million doses annually in India from the Russian "Sputnik-V" vaccine, the first vaccine recorded in the world.
According to a statement published on the official account of the "Sputnik V" vaccine, the Russian direct investment fund "Hetero", one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in India, has reached an agreement, and production is scheduled to start by next year.
The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund, Kirill Dmitriev, said that the "Sputnik V" vaccine should be an essential part of the national vaccine portfolio for every country that seeks to protect its population from the Corona virus.
Dmitriev stressed that thanks to the partnership with "Heitero", the production capacity for vaccine production will be greatly increased, making it possible to provide the Indian population with an effective drug to confront the epidemic.
