Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Takes the Top Spot at the Box Office!
🍿 A Huge Opening Weekend in North America
The horror film "Five Nights at Freddy’s 2" jumped straight to number one at the North American box office during its first days in theaters, according to the box office tracking company Exhibitor Relations.
The second movie in the “Freddy’s” series from Universal Studios — which follows animatronic characters in a pizza restaurant and a girl who becomes linked to them — earned an impressive $63 million in North America.
And outside the U.S. and Canada, the film made another $46 million.
🐰 Zootopia 2 Slips to Second Place
Disney’s newest animated film, "Zootopia 2", dropped to second place this week. The movie earned $43 million in its second weekend, bringing its total to $220 million in North America and nearly $1 billion worldwide.
🎵 Wicked: For Good Takes Third Place
In third place came "Wicked: For Good", the second part of Universal’s musical film series about the famous witches of Oz. The movie earned $16.8 million.
This film is based on the popular Broadway musical, which itself was inspired by Gregory Maguire’s 1995 novel.
🧙♂️ Anime Power! Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution in Fourth
Fourth place went to the new anime film "Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution", which tells a story about sorcerers and magic. It made $10.2 million in its opening weekend.
🎩 Now You See Me: Now You Don’t in Fifth Place
In fifth place was "Now You See Me: Now You Don’t", which earned $3.5 million.
