And the newspaper “Variety” had previously said, quoting the Bruce family: “Our family wanted to start by expressing our deepest gratitude for the amazing outpouring of love, support, and wonderful stories that we have all received since sharing Bruce’s diagnosis, and with that in mind, we wanted to give you an update on our beloved husband and father.” And our friend where we now have a deeper understanding of what he's going through."
Bruce Willis' family added: "Since we announced Bruce's diagnosis of aphasia in the spring of 2022, Bruce's case has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (commonly known as FTD). Unfortunately, communication challenges are only one symptom of the disease." Bruce is facing... while this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis."
