Press sources revealed today that former Barcelona star Xavi Hernandez is close to taking over the technical leadership of the Catalan team, succeeding Ronald Koeman.
The sources indicated that Xavi submitted three requests to the Barcelona Board of Directors before arriving at the "Camp Nou" and taking over the task of training the first team.
And about Xavi's first requests, which is to agree to bring 7 assistants from his current apparatus with the dam.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", Xavi will come to Barcelona, accompanied by assistant coaches Oscar Hernandez and Sergio Allegri.

As for the second request, it is related to the restructuring of the club’s medical services due to the large number of injuries suffered by the players in the past period, as Xavi expressed his deep concern to the club’s management regarding this matter, and therefore a decision will be taken on that.
The third request is to renew the contract of Osman Dembele, as Xavi believes that the French wing is an integrated player and will be useful in forming Barcelona under his leadership. He also requested a contract with a distinguished wing as soon as possible, and it seems that Raheem Sterling, the Manchester City player, is one of the options on the club's table.
Barcelona is confident of completing the contract with Xavi, as its new coach, and that he may lead the team in the derby match against Espanyol in La Liga, on November 20.
Sources said earlier that Xavi had already agreed with Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Thani, head of Al-Sadd, to leave in a friendly manner, in order to train Barcelona.
