“30” has become the star’s fourth album to top the charts of British albums sales, preceded by the albums “25”, “21” and “19”, which originally returned strongly this week to the list of best-selling records and took the fifteenth, eighteenth and thirty-first positions, respectively. .
For the sixth week in a row, the 33-year-old singer, composer and author maintained her lead in the singles race with her new song "Easy On Me", breaking her personal record, which she had achieved through her song "Samoan Like You" when she stayed in first place for five weeks.
Two of the 12 songs on the album became best-selling singles, "Oh My God" at number two and "I Drink Wine" at number four.
The title “30”, which she chose for the album, refers to her age when she began recording it three years ago, at a time when the life of the owner of the song “Hello” was experiencing a series of turmoil, between her divorce and the sudden halt of her artistic career.
The British resident, who lives in Los Angeles, revealed the difficulties she faced when she reached her thirties through an interview with Vogue magazine, which included a number of confessions.
In the British edition of the magazine, Adele said: "At the age of 30, my life fell apart without warning.
She added, I feel that this album is more like self-destruction, then self-reflection, then self-salvation.
