Elon Musk will end the global chip shortage
Elon Musk, CEO of electric car company Tesla, said recently that the global chip shortage that has affected the auto industry should be over by next year thanks to new semiconductor plants, according to a report by Gizmo China.
The world is facing an ongoing crisis related to the shortage of semiconductors, which has affected various industries around the world. Auto production is among the sectors most affected by this shortage, as it has been completely disrupted by certain brands due to supply restrictions.
“There are a lot of chip factories that have been built," Musk said. I think we will have a good capacity to deliver the chips by next year.” This came in a joint session with Stylantis and Ferrari president John Elkann at the Italian Tech Week.
Both agreed on potential support from nuclear energy to cover the world's growing energy needs. Musk also added, "I am surprised that some countries have recently moved away from nuclear power, even though it is safe."
Since the beginning of the shortage crisis, various major chip manufacturers have begun to expand their production capacities to ensure the stability of semiconductor supply, so it is expected that the supply will eventually meet the large demand.
