Paris Saint Germain announces the signing of Lionel Messi
French club Paris Saint-Germain completed the signing of Argentine legend Lionel Messi, on Tuesday evening, on a free transfer deal.
Al-Barghouth joined the Parisian club after the expiration of his contract with Barcelona last June, to start a new adventure at the Princes Park after 17 years spent in the Blaugrana shirt.
The Paris club announced, in an official statement on its website, that Messi signed him for two years, with the option to extend for another year, during which the player will receive an annual salary of 35 million euros, according to reports.
It is expected that Messi's debut in the Saint-Germain shirt will be postponed until the end of August, as he will not be ready to participate in the next two matches against Strasbourg and Stade Brest in the French League.
There is news indicating that Messi may participate for the first time in the Parisian shirt against Stade Brems, on August 29, in the fourth round of the French League.
