Leicester City won the Charity Shield for the second time in its history, and for the first time since 1971, after defeating Manchester City with a clean goal in the match that brought the two teams together on Saturday at Wembley Stadium.
Kelechi Ihyanacho scored the only goal of the match from the penalty spot in the 89th minute.
The Charity Shield is equivalent to the so-called Super Cup in the rest of the other European leagues, and is held before the start of each season in England between the English Premier League champion and the FA Cup champion, last season.
Leicester City won the title for the second time in its history, and the first in more than 50 years, as the team's last title dates back to 1971.
