Injury deprives Britain's Katrina Johnson of a medal
Britain's Katrina Johnson Thompson's Olympic medal hopes were dashed after she sustained an injury during the 200m heptathlon before she gathered her strength and crossed the finish line.
Katrina Johnson, 28, returned to competition, refused treatment, and completed the race again, despite being disqualified from it after moving away from the race track.
Katrina was fifth after the shot put, but entered the competition after several injuries that disrupted her career, including an Achilles tendon injury at the end of last year.
Katrina Johnson, the gold medalist at the 2019 World Athletics Championships in Doha, Qatar, would have been a favorite for a medal if she was in her best physical condition.
