Bayern Munich extends with Joshua Kimmich until 2025
German football club Bayern Munich on Monday extended the contract of midfielder Joshua Kimmich for two years, to continue with the team until 2025.
Kimmich, 26, joined Bayern Munich in 2015 from Leipzig and became a leading player in the Bavarian team as well as in the German national team in the past years, and crowned with Bayern the title in all the tournaments in which the club participates.
"The most important reason why I renew my contract with Bayern is that it will allow me to continue to do what I passionately love," Kimmich said in comments published on Bayern Munich's official website today, Monday. When you are a Bayern player, you are always a candidate for trophies, and I have made great friends here.”
He added: “Football should be for fun in the first place, and that was the reason why I played it in the first place. I still have more to learn and there is room for my further development in the coming years. Moreover, my family is comfortable in Munich, and what we find here is rarely found elsewhere.”
