Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Bettel has been admitted to hospital after contracting COVID-19
Local media reported that Luxembourg Prime Minister Xavier Betel was hospitalized on Sunday, after tests confirmed he had COVID-19 at the end of June.
And (RTL) station, quoting the Ministry of State, stated that he is subject to additional examinations and will remain under observation for 24 hours as a precaution.
Bettel participated in a two-day European Union summit in Brussels at the end of June, which was also attended by French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi and other European leaders.
The Luxembourg State Ministry could not be reached yet for comment.
