Anthony Fauci: Some Americans will need booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines
Anthony Fauci, director of the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said Sunday that immunocompromised Americans may end up needing booster doses of COVID-19 vaccines.
"People who are undergoing organ transplants, cancer chemotherapy, people with autoimmune diseases, who are on immunosuppressive regimes, these are the individuals who if there is a third booster, which may happen," Fauci said in an interview with CNN. Most likely, they will be among the first eligible.”
