Spanish police arrested a man on charges of harassing calls.
The 49-year-old called the police and emergency services nearly 9,000 times over two years.
The man was arrested after complaints from the emergency service, which receives calls from all over the country.
According to a police investigation, the man had been calling the emergency services for more than two years with the sole purpose of reprimanding and insulting workers.
Investigators indicated that the man never needed the services of the emergency department.
