Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov: Announcing the date and venue of the Biden-Putin summit very soon
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov announced today, Tuesday, that the date and location of the upcoming summit between the Russian presidents, Vladimir Putin, and the American, Joe Biden, will be announced very soon.
Lavrov said, in statements carried by the Russian "Novosti" agency, that the Secretary of the Russian Security Council, Nikolai Patrushev, held constructive talks with the US National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan, on relations between the two countries.
Lavrov added, that he expects to overcome the causes of tension in relations between Washington and Moscow soon.
Lavrov said yesterday, that Biden and Putin will determine the topics of the negotiations at the upcoming summit between the two sides, but the dialogue must be based on mutual respect.
Lavrov added, "Preparing proposals for the agenda is part of the process of evaluating the initiative of the American summit. In the end, the two leaders will determine the topics for discussion at the summit."
