The three clubs issued a joint statement expressing rejection of UEFA’s decision to refer them to discipline due to a possible “breach of the legal framework” of the institution headed by Slovenian Alexander Ceferin after trying to establish the European Super League.

UEFA decided to take this action on Tuesday against the three clubs that had spearheaded the attempt to establish the tournament despite the Confederation's determination to oppose it, after an investigation conducted by inspectors of the Federation's Values and Discipline Committee.

The confederation's statement did not specify other details related to the matter, and the three clubs will have to wait for a while to see if any sanctions will be taken against them.

In the joint statement, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus considered that UEFA had committed a "blatant violation" of the courts' decision, "which had previously issued a warning to him to refrain from taking any action against the founding clubs of the supercharged while the judicial procedures proceeded" in this regard.

According to the statement, "the European Football Association opened a disciplinary file that is completely incomprehensible, and directly undermines the rule of law that we have built democratically, we citizens of the European Union."

The three clubs confirmed that the competition was promoted "with the aim of improving the status of European football, in light of a permanent dialogue with the federation and with the aim of continuing to increase interest in this sport and presenting the best possible offers to the fans."

He added, "All of this comes within a framework of sustainability and solidarity, especially in light of the more dangerous economic conditions such as those experienced by most European clubs."

Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus have stated that "instead of studying how to modernize football in an open dialogue," the federation wants the three clubs to withdraw legal measures related to its monopoly on European football.

According to the statement, “Real Madrid, Barcelona and Juventus will not succumb to any kind of intolerable coercion or pressure and will continue to demonstrate their firm will to discuss the urgent solutions that the football world demands today on the basis of dialogue, respect and urgent solutions that the world of football requires today. Either we update football. Or we will witness its inevitable ruin. ”

The official announcement of the establishment of the Super League championship was announced on April 18th, with the participation of 20 clubs in each season: 15 fixed seats, in addition to 5 other clubs that will participate according to their performance throughout the season.

In addition to the aforementioned trio, Milan and Inter Milan, the Italian clubs and the English six, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City and Manchester United announced their participation in the tournament.

However, after harsh criticism from the fans and some former clubs and stars, the idea of establishing the tournament was retracted, and apologies followed in succession from the clubs, with the exception of Real, Barca and Al-Ufi, who are now subject to UEFA sanctions.
