Officially, Clubhouse is available for Android phones

To what extent can Club House benefit from its launch via Android phones?

The Clubhouse app, which became popular, early this year. And that was after the famous billionaire, Elon Musk and others, appeared in voice chats. Against this, the popularity of the biggest competitors, including Facebook Inc and Twitter Inc.

The Clubhouse was, available only, to Apple users, by invitation. In some countries, such as China, invitations were searched after some of them were auctioned off on the Internet.

But downloading the app, which is one of the measures of popularity, has dropped dramatically. After peaking in February with 9.6 million downloads, that number dropped to 2.7 million in March and then 900,000 downloads in April, according to Sensor Tower.

The decline raised questions about its long-term viability and whether its success is partly due to people spending more time at home during the pandemic.

And the long-awaited launch of Androd is expected to reach more new users, globally. The Android version will reach other English-speaking markets, then the rest of the world, days and weeks after the beta release, from the US market.

Clubhouse, who created the category, is now facing the likes of Facebook, whose CEO Mark Zuckerberg, in April, announced a slew of audio products, including live sound rooms modeled after this app. And a way for users to find and play a podcast.

In January, Twitter Inc said it would introduce a new feature to allow users, to pay entrance fees, to their live voice chat rooms, in its "Spaces" feature, as the company seeks to prosecute more content creators. It has been available for Android users since last March.
