Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and Prince William's wife receive the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine
Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, and the wife of British Prince William said today, Saturday, that she had received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine and thanked all the workers in the vaccination program.
Kate, 39, added that she received the dose at the Science Museum, a popular tourist destination near Kensington Palace in which she lives.
"Yesterday I received my first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine at the Science Museum in London," she wrote on the Twitter account that she shares with William, and attached a picture of her receiving the injection to the tweet.
"I am very grateful to everyone who plays a role in distributing (vaccines) ... Thanks for everything you do," she said.
William, 38, said last week that she had received the first dose of the vaccine. His grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, received the first dose in January and encouraged others to get vaccinated, saying it was swift and painless.
Britain is currently providing the Covid-19 vaccine to everyone aged 30 years and over, and has given the first dose to about 38.8 million people.
