Joe Lara dies of the role of "Tarzan" in a plane crash
The actor in the "Tarzan" series, Joe Lara, was among seven people who crashed into a small private plane in the US state of Tennessee, and rescue services on Sunday ruled out any hope of finding survivors.
"We are no longer looking for survivors at this stage," rescue units commander Joshua Sanders told a news conference. On Sunday afternoon, a number of components of the plane were found, as well as human remains.
The private plane had taken off from Smyrna Airport in Tennessee, on Saturday, bound for Palm Beach, Florida.
But the plane crashed shortly after takeoff at Percy Brest Lake, 20 km south of Nashville.
Joe Lara is best known for playing the role of Tarzan in the series "Tarzan: The Epic Adventures" in 1996 and 1997.
