German national football team coach, Joachim Low, resting after Euro 2020
The coach of the German national football team, Joachim Loew, announced his adherence to his plans not to make contact with any club as soon as he relinquished his current position, following the end of the European Nations Cup next summer.
"I am sticking to this ... Personally, I have not contacted anyone," said Love, 61, at the team's training camp in the Austrian city of Seefeld on Saturday.
And there have been speculations recently about the possibility of Loew taking over as Barcelona or Real Madrid coach.
"The decision that I will not take charge of any club in the summer is clear to me, and there will be no change of opinion on this matter," said Loew, who is due to leave the German national team after 15 years at his helm.
He continued, "I know what I want from the decision, and I think that it is a good decision for everyone, and after that I will of course need an emotional distancing," stressing that taking charge of a club immediately is not possible after 17 years of working with the German Football Association.
