Eden Hazard: I will not leave Real Madrid
Belgian captain Eden Hazard confirmed Monday that he does not see himself outside Real Madrid, who was unable to participate with him properly due to injuries, explaining that he hopes to perform well in Euro 2020 and return to his best levels.
"I have 3 years left on my contract," Hazard said at a virtual conference from the Belgian national team camp for the Euro championship. We all know the first two years were bad. Now I have to think about the euro and be in perfect shape for the club next year. ”
The player said, "I know that I am close to my highest levels ... I need the rhythm of the matches ... I am not in my full strength, but I am in a good state of mind, but physically, I will slowly get to the matter."
Hazard also spoke about the departure of French coach Zinedine Zidane from Real Madrid, and said that he was admired as a player and coach.
"I am grateful for what he did for me and a bit disappointed at not being able to return his favor," the player said.
Regarding his teammate, Frenchman Karim Benzema, who returned to his country after a long absence, he said, "He is one of the best players in the world."
On Chelsea winning the Champions League, he said that he did not celebrate winning the title and stated, "I am a player at Real Madrid, and that is why I was not happy."
On his teammate, Kevin De Bruyne, the Manchester City captain, who was injured in the Champions League final against Chelsea, said: “He made a great year, and going out injured was tough. "He will rest for a few days, and if I can give him advice, it is for him to relax .. I hope he is 100% with us."
