Control of a dangerous fire in an oil well in northern Iraq
The engineering effort in the Iraqi Ministry of Oil managed to control, in record time, the 183 oil well fire in the "Bay Hassan" field in the Kirkuk governorate in the north of the country.
A statement by the Ministry of Oil indicated that the distinguished effort of the workers resulted in controlling the Well Fire 183, despite the complexities and seriousness of dealing with these accidents due to the high pressures that characterize them, and being able to control it within 4 days only.
He pointed out that the technical teams were able to control and extinguish a fire that broke out in Well 177 in the aforementioned field.
The Minister of Oil announced the extinguishing of the well 183 in the Bai Hassan field, stressing that terrorist operations will not stop the national effort to work to maintain production and export.
Last week, the "Bay Hassan" field in Kirkuk governorate was subjected to a sabotage attack that resulted in the explosion of two oil wells, resulting in deaths and injuries from the security forces and the police protecting the energy fields.
