Echo Al Balad continues with the 26-year-old food artist, Aya Abu Al-Hamayel, who found her passion for preparing cakes in distinctive and different shapes after her graduation from the Faculty of Arts, Department of Survey and Maps, and after spending 8 years in drawing, she started the trend a year ago to make cakes in different shapes .
A cake in the form of a garden, another in the form of a person, and a third in the form of a pharaonic figure, all of them were skilled at presenting Aya, who learned to make professional cakes through videos on YouTube and Pinterest only, and despite the incomplete attempts at the beginning, she insisted on Follow-up.
Experience after experience, Aya did not give up in learning, and says: "At the beginning the topic was a hobby, I tried a lot and failed a lot, so I could reach this stage and after that I took it work." And it takes one cake to make professionally for a whole day.
As for making cakes in the pharaonic form, it was an experiment two months ago after the announcement of preparations for the procession of royal mummies, and her first experience was in carving on cakes to create a human shape with features, and she says: “I used to participate with her in the procession, but the opportunity was muggled.”
Aya creates a variety of shapes, including cakes in the form of a burger, cakes in the form of a camera, and cakes in the form of chicken, using healthy food colors, sugar dough and her skills in making models of cakes, and she says: "Every order is made according to the customer's desire."
