Watch... the moment of re-floatation of the delinquent Suez Canal ship

The "Inch Cape" shipping services company said in a tweet on Twitter that the delinquent Suez Canal vessel "Evergiven" has been floated on Monday, and that it is currently being secured.

The Suez Canal had said in a statement earlier, that it had resumed operations of tugging the ship, as quoted by "Reuters".

The correspondent of "Sky News Arabia" reported that the position of the stranded ship had been modified after it responded to the recent float maneuver, and the ship is being towed to float and operate the ship's thrust to ensure its suitability for movement.

The head of the Suez Canal Authority, Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, revealed hours ago, the latest developments related to the efforts to float the "Evergiven" ship.

Rabei indicated that the work was focused on expanding the scope of dredging and digging in the bow of the stranded ship, by removing the sides of the canal to reach a depth of 18 meters, to facilitate the ship's floatation process.

And he indicated that this is done by relying mainly on dredging by means of a "well-known" dredger, in addition to the use of earth rigs that allow it to get closer to the ship.
