Prince William breaks his silence and responds to Megan's statements
After Meghan Markle's controversial comments and accusation by the royal family of being racist, Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, denied the accusations on Thursday.
Megan said in an interview with the American media, Oprah Winfrey, that she was not comfortable living in the palace, and revealed that there were those who spoke to her husband, Prince Harry, who is pregnant, and expressed concerns to him about the complexion of the next baby, and whether it will be brown, because Markle's mother from African origin.
In response to a question by Sky News about Markle's accusations, Prince William replied assertively, "We are not a racist family at all."
He explained that he has not yet spoken to his brother, Prince Harry, who lives in California, but that he intends to do so.
Prince William made the remarks while on a visit to a school in east London, on Thursday morning, alongside the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate.
The meeting with Prince Harry and his wife created an unprecedented crisis in decades for the royal family, after the couple said they had not been supported in the palace, but were rather harassed.
Earlier, Buckingham Palace issued a statement saying that what had been raised about the issue of race was a cause for concern, and that it would be dealt with in a private family setting.
A spokesman for the palace said, "The royal family is sad as they learn about the hardships Prince Harry and his wife have faced over the past years."
The palace added that Prince Harry, his wife Megan Markle and their son Archie will always be loved by the royal family.
In their shocking interview, Prince Harry and his wife also talked about Prince William and his wife Kate, and how the relationship was so convulsive.
Markle said the Duchess of Cambridge made her cry on one occasion, and later apologized for the matter with phrases and a bouquet of flowers.
