The Pope bid farewell to the members of the Iraqi government and its president at Baghdad International Airport, and held a meeting with the President of the Republic, "Barham Salih" in the ceremonies hall.


An official farewell ceremony was held for the Pope by the Iraqi state, which described his visit as "historic," according to media outlets.


The Pope arrived in Iraq on the fifth of this month and toured five provinces, which are Baghdad, Erbil, Najaf, Dhi Qar, and Nineveh.
