The Netherlands extends the curfew to this date to combat the Corona epidemic
The Dutch government revealed, on Monday, that it has extended the curfew to combat the Corona epidemic until the second of March, a measure that caused the worst riots in the country in the past four decades.
The curfew, which has been in effect since January 23 from 21:00 to 04:30, is the first since World War II, and was supposed to end on the tenth of this month. An extension of three weeks is necessary because new, more contagious versions of Corona are spreading rapidly in the Netherlands.
The statement added that more than 95% of the Dutch respect the curfew and other measures to confront Corona. Such as limiting the number of daily visitors to each family to one person, and prohibiting flights coming from some countries.
And last week, The Hague extended other measures until the same date. Especially the closure of bars, restaurants and non-essential stores, despite the reopening of schools on Monday.
