The first official comment from "EgyptAir" after Saudi Arabia suspended entry to Egyptians
EgyptAir said that return flights from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are continuing; To return Egyptians and other nationalities from Saudi Arabia to Egypt.
This comes in the first official comment on the decision of the Saudi Ministry of Interior to temporarily suspend entry to the Kingdom for non-citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families for those coming from 20 countries, starting at 9 pm tomorrow, Wednesday, including Egypt.
The company added in a statement today, Tuesday, that according to the decision to stop flights by the Saudi authorities, it is not known when to allow travel to the Kingdom during the current periods.
The company called on its passengers to review their reservations by calling the company's telephone call center at 1717 from any mobile line, or 090070000 from any land line, or the website egyptair.com, or by visiting EgyptAir offices and its tourist agents.
An official source at the Saudi Ministry of Interior stated that the decision came due to the continuing outbreak of the new Corona pandemic, and that according to the preventive and precautionary measures recommended by the health authorities in Saudi Arabia, and as part of their relentless efforts to control the epidemic, this decision was taken.
He said that those countries are: “Argentina, the United Arab Emirates, Germany, the United States, Indonesia, Ireland, Italy, Pakistan, Federated Brazil, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Turkey, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, France, Lebanon, Egypt, India And Japan, ”and this includes those coming from other countries if they passed through any of those countries during the 14 days preceding the application to enter the Kingdom.
The entry of citizens, diplomats, health practitioners and their families coming from the aforementioned countries or who passed through any of those countries during the (14) days prior to their return to the Kingdom. According to the precautionary measures set by the Ministry of Health.
