Michelle Obama gives Obama a love letter ... and Melania Trump ignores Trump on his first Valentine outside the White House
Former US President Barack Obama sent a Valentine's Day message to his wife Michelle and his two daughters Malia and Sasha on Sunday, praising them for what they had done to him for making "everything brighter."
"Happy Valentine's Day to the three who never failed to make me smile," the former president wrote in a post alongside an undated photo of his family.
"Your dazzling light makes everything brighter."
Former first lady Michelle posted her intimate message two minutes later, accompanied by a picture of herself and Barack surrounded by lights.
And she wrote, "Happy Valentine's Day, Barack Obama!" "Life is always brighter when I'm next to you."
Former first lady Melania Trump also posted a Valentine's Day message on Sunday morning, but did not mention her husband, Donald.
This came a day after it was revealed that she had finally set up her office after the White House - three weeks after leaving Washington, DC - and hopes to revive her "Be Better" campaign to help children deal with cyberbullying.
Trump has been banned from most social media platforms since his speech before the violent riots by his supporters at the US Capitol Building on January 6.
He has not yet published a public message on the occasion of Valentine's Day.
