Holding a Golden Globe party in two cities and participating remotely due to Corona
The organizers of the Golden Globe Awards said that the ceremony, which is scheduled for the end of February, will be held in Los Angeles and New York, while the nominees for prizes for their work in film and television will participate from multiple locations around the world.
These changes were made due to the Corona pandemic, which also led to the cancellation of the usual lavish dinner party for stars and celebrities at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills.
Instead, comedian Tina Fey will host the concert live on NBC from Rainbow Hall in New York, while Amy Bowler will co-perform from inside the Beverly Hilton Hotel.
The rest of the details of the February 28 concert are still being prepared and will be the first major awards ceremony ahead of the Oscars.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association will announce the nominees for the Golden Globe Awards on Wednesday.
The Corona pandemic has forced organizers to make major changes to the way award ceremonies are broadcast and prepared. The Emmy Awards ceremony last September saw the participation of dozens of nominees from remote locations, while other concerts included a mix of recorded and live shows.
The pandemic also caused the Golden Globe and Oscar concerts to be postponed for two months, as the Golden Globe was supposed to be held in early January, while the Oscars would be held on April 25 instead of its usual date at the end of February or early March.
