British Health Secretary Matt Hancock: 50 million doses of vaccines for the new mutation are secured
British Health Minister Matt Hancock has conveyed his country's government's approval of an initial supply of 50 million doses.
Hancock stated in a press release:
Evidence shows that the doses distributed had some effect against the new mutations.
Especially prevention of dangerous diseases and deaths.
He added, "Britain has entered into a partnership with the manufacturer CureVac to develop vaccines that can quickly adapt to the new strains that are being discovered."
He emphasized, "We have agreed to an initial supply of 50 million doses, to be added to the 400 million doses we already have."
