4 people were killed in avalanches in Austria
The Austrian authorities announced the killing of 4 people in avalanches that occurred recently in the Tyrol region in the west of the country.
The district police indicated that a man and a woman were killed in an avalanche at an altitude of 2,100 meters in the Silrain region.
She added: “The snow completely buried them, and their bodies were not found until after a whole day.
And she continued: "An Austrian citizen was killed in an avalanche, while on Saturday he was traveling on two skis at a height of 2,327 meters in the station Aksamir to Izum outside the permitted area."
Also, in a separate incident, the police announced that a young German was killed in the Cotai region.
The young man was not equipped with a monitor, and was skiing off the track with two friends at an altitude of more than 2,600 meters, when the avalanche occurred.
Police confirmed that 4 other avalanches occurred in Tirol, without causing any casualties.
