The all-new 2021 EV Electra Race - the 100% Lebanese electric sports car at a very competitive price
The story began with Jihad Muhammad Investment Company, a company working in support of the sustainable green planet agenda, to become the EV Electra Company of its owner Jihad Muhammad, the Lebanese of Palestinian origin, a single-based company that brings together a number of believers under one roof and one goal.
In its statement, the company says: “While studying the electric vehicle market, we noted that the cars were either too expensive or not to attract a wider customer base. We decided to build an electric car that is classified as a super-fast car in its market and makes it accessible to a wider customer base in financial terms. ”
“Reducing ICE petrol cars by 1% in the world today might not spur the environment. However, building a car that can facilitate up to 40% of change will definitely have a huge impact in the long run.
Despite the tremendous financial difficulties that Lebanon is going through, Electra was able to advance the project, as the company's cars are now available in the market at very competitive prices.
In addition, this project contributed to creating many job opportunities in Lebanon. According to the company, about 1,500 to 2,000 new job opportunities will be created in the coming years.
Electra owns 4 factories in Lebanon, in the south between Ghazieh and Sidon, Bekaa in Zahle, in the north in Tripoli, and in the Choueifat industrial zone.
As for the company's administrative center, it will be in Baabda (Mount Lebanon), as will the research and development department. It is reported that the company manufactured its first car, which was called Jerusalem, in Europe.
The manufacturing process is distributed among the four mentioned factories, as each factory specializes in a specific technical department. It takes between 200 and 250 hours to make a single electric car, and with 20 workers, the company will be able to produce a car every 10 hours.
The Electra Rise is an electric sports car produced by the aforementioned Lebanese company, and it is a two-seat sports coupe.
The Rise works on an electric motor powered by a 45-kW lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 240 hp, and the generator is located in the back, as is the case in most sports cars.
Power is transmitted to the rear wheels, and these sporty 18-inch wheels come with 225/40 ZR18 tires in the front and 275/35 ZR 18 at the rear. While the Electra Rise has a weight of 2,645 kg.
The electric drive range of the battery without the need to recharge is 400 km, the acceleration from 0 to 100 km takes place within 4 seconds and the maximum speed reaches 230 km per hour.
The aforementioned Rise car is priced at $ 30k. In Lebanon, the buyer can pay 15 thousand dollars as a down payment and pay the rest in installments to the company without interest, based on the price of 3900 pounds per dollar, which is the price of the official platform inside the country.
