NACTOY North American Car, Truck & Utility Award Organizers: Hyundai Elantra Wins North American Car of the Year
The organizers of the NACTOY North American Auto, Truck & Utility Awards have announced their awards for 2020, which has seen many challenges in the automotive sector.
During the year 2020, the electric vehicle industry witnessed rapid development at all levels, so this category of cars won a number of NACTOY North American Cars, Trucks and Utilities Awards.
Despite the slowdown in sales rates at the level of all global automakers, the organizers of the North American Cars, Trucks and Utilities Award, NACTOY, decided to announce the results on January 11th.
The Hyundai Elantra was named Car of the Year, the Ford F-150 won the Truck of the Year award, and the Ford Mustang Mach-E won the Best SUV.
Judges praised the Hyundai Elantra's astonishing design, efficiency and available safety systems, thereby surpassing the Nissan Sentra and Genesis G80.
The Ford F-150 outdid the Jeep Gladiator Mohave and Ram 1500 TRX, while the all-electric Ford Mustang Mach-E outdid the Genesis GV80 and Land Rover Defender.
The NACTOY Awards were presented for the first time in 1994. The winners are chosen by a jury of 50 auto journalists from the United States and Canada, representing all sectors of the industry from print media to television and the Internet.
