Muammar Gaddafi's Maybach 57S car was offered for sale for $ 1.17 million
Ten years ago, the late Libyan President Muammar Gaddafi fell, as he was killed by demonstrators after they found him in his hideout in October 2011.
According to many international reports, Libya was getting more than $ 30 billion in oil revenues a year, and one-fifth of Libya's gold reserves were sold for one billion dollars, and it seems that he put the money in many secret accounts and companies, including the sovereign wealth fund in Libya, shortly before his assassination.
Reports confirm that the late president liked to obtain valuable and luxurious things. Indeed, the Dutch agency Auto Leitner, which specializes in selling luxury cars, recently appeared to offer the last car the leader had requested before his death, a model of Maybach 57S for sale.
On its Facebook page, the agency wrote an advertisement for the sale of the car, confirming that Muammar Gaddafi had booked it in 2010, and he requested that it be specially made but he did not receive it.
Gaddafi's car is distinguished, as the agency says, with an original color system for the body, while its interior is wrapped in light-colored leather, and has now traveled a distance of no more than 2,300 kilometers, and only 10 to 20 cars are collected, and the price of each one is 165,000 euros.
The Maybach 57S is powered by a 6.0-liter, 12-cylinder engine that is both powerful and agile. It was manufactured by Mercedes AMG and each model was manually inspected separately. Thanks to the dual propulsion technology, water and air cooling, the engine gives 612 horsepower and thrust from zero to 100 km / h in five seconds or a top speed of 275 km / h. The final speed cannot exceed 300 km / h for safety and security considerations.
