Hadia Hosni, Egyptian badminton player: We cannot return from Thailand due to arbitrary procedures
Hadia Hosni, the player of the first national badminton team, posted on her official Facebook page that the delegation of the national team in Thailand could not return to Cairo due to arbitrary procedures.
Egypt participated in the Thailand International Badminton Championship with three players, Hadi Hosni, Doha Hani and Adham Hatem, who could not play any match due to doubts related to his infection with the Corona virus from the tournament's medical committee, which led to his isolation from the team for ten days.
Hadyia Hosni confirmed that the player "Adham Hatem" is healthy because the swab that proved positive was returned again and the result was negative, and another swab was done inside the hospital and it was also negative and there were no symptoms on him, but the player was insisted on isolating the player and applying the protocol.
Hosni added that the past days were very difficult for the team, and after their goal was to participate in all the tournament matches, now their goal is to return safely to Egypt and let Adham Hatem leave the hospital.
Hadia Hosni thanked the Egyptian Badminton Federation headed by Hisham El-Tohamy and the Egyptian Embassy in Thailand, which tried hard to help the Egyptian mission, but the isolation protocol must be followed and the ten days period had to expire until the player Adham Hatem was discharged from the hospital.
