The Federation of Egyptian Communities in Europe expressed its deep dissatisfaction with the extremist, fanatical and insulting statements made by Bishop Irenos, Bishop of Greece, which came far from the meaning of tolerance between religions and contradicted the language of religious discourse that calls for peaceful coexistence and social fraternity.
According to a statement on Thursday, the Federation of Egyptian Communities in Europe expressed its astonishment at these statements that contradict the historical and strength of Greek relations with Arab and Islamic countries.
He added that the statements confirm the urgent need for an interfaith dialogue based on correcting misconceptions, refuting suspicious ideologies, and not including religions in political fights.
