Details of Donald Trump's last hours at the White House
It seems that Donald Trump tried to use his last hours in office to issue decisions, pardons and other decisions.
According to American media, his daughter Ivanka was with him until 10 pm, then left to make phone calls to some of the people who were pardoned until 2 am EST.
On Tuesday, Trump issued dozens of pardons or reduced sentences, most notably in favor of former White House adviser Steve Bannon.
Ivanka has worked extensively in recent days on the criminal justice amnesty file for non-violent crimes.
The sources added that the president's feelings appeared mixed with the family leaving the White House on Wednesday morning.
CNN quoted a source in the White House. That Trump "was comfortable leaving the pressure of the presidency behind his back."
Upon leaving the White House on his way to the Marine One helicopter, Trump told reporters that it was a “lifetime's honor” to be the forty-fifth president of the United States, and he just wanted to leave and say “goodbye”.
US media reported that Trump had expressed hope that the farewell would not be long.
