On Friday, the Ministry of Health and Population announced that 721 recoverers from the Coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals, after receiving the necessary medical care and recovery according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, bringing the total of those recovering from the virus to 112,826 cases until today.
Dr. Khaled Mujahid, advisor to the Minister of Health and Population for Media Affairs and the official spokesperson for the ministry, stated that 1,409 new cases that proved positive in laboratory analyzes of the virus were recorded, as part of the necessary surveillance, investigation and examination procedures that the ministry conducts according to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, pointing to 56 new deaths.
Mujahid said that according to the recommendations of the World Health Organization issued on May 27, 2020, the disappearance of symptoms for 10 days after infection is an indication of the patient's recovery from the Corona virus.
"Mujahid" stated that the total number that was registered in Egypt with the new Corona virus until Friday, is 139,471 cases, including 112,826 cases that have been cured, and 7,687 deaths.
