British Prime Minister Boris Johnson warns: The new Corona strain is more deadly
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that there is some evidence confirming that the new strain of Corona virus in his country is "more deadly", but he said that vaccines remain effective.
Johnson added in a press conference that there is evidence that the new strain affects the high death rate among people with Corona, according to the British newspaper, "The Independent".
For his part, British Health Minister Matt Hancock warned that the outbreak of the mutated Corona strain discovered in South Africa, widely in the United Kingdom, could spoil the vaccination campaign in Britain and return the country to square one.
And in mid-December, Britain announced the detection of a new strain of Corona virus, which is more contagious, by up to 70%.
The health authorities in Britain recorded 1,401 new deaths from the emerging corona virus "Covid-19" during the last 24 hours, compared to 1290 deaths the previous day.
