Because of Biden's inauguration, the Louisiana Capitol will be closed tomorrow
The Louisiana State Capitol will be closed on Wednesday, when President-elect Joe Biden will be inaugurated.
The American "CNN" network quoted sources as saying that the closure was motivated by extreme caution and will not take effect until tomorrow, Wednesday, only.
According to the offices of House Speaker Clay Sheksneider and Morgan Robertson, the Capitol will reopen on Thursday.
In a statement released Monday, Louisiana Gov. John Bill Edwards said federal and local officials are in touch about warnings of any planned protests.
He said, "While there has not yet been any violence or lawlessness in the protests in Louisiana, we are prepared and will respond as necessary."
CNN reported previously, that Edwards will attend the inauguration ceremony of Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, tomorrow, Wednesday, in Washington, DC.
