Armani's new collection based on the American Gigolo movie
A dazzling collection full of classics presented by designer Giorgio Armani at Paris Fashion Week. He returned to high fashion its lost glory and carried a message of optimism that spreads an atmosphere of brightness and fun in the face of days suffering under the weight of the Corona epidemic.
After being absent from the "couture" shows last season, Armani is back this season with a virtual show, filmed in Palazzo Orsini, the house's famous residence in Milan. Giorgio Armani inspired this collection from an iconic 1990s movie called American Gigolo. He wanted his designs to emulate the younger generation, striking a balance between classic cuts of modern character and delicate romantic touches.
The show opened with a group of suits that were covered in gray and black tones, and were distinguished by sharp cuts that were executed on drop-down materials, which gave life to the looks. As for the dresses, they were executed in velvet, satin, organza, and lamé materials, and were decorated with crystal beads and spring floral embroideries. Her colors were distinguished by bright pastel shades, in addition to navy blue, coral and indigo.
Armani, 86, gifted this set to his hometown Milan. He wanted her to tell the story of his journey in the world of fashion and embody his sense of freedom and independence from fleeting trends in fashion. He said in this regard: "I have a very special vision of beauty based on the combination of elegance, comfort and sophistication. I have discovered over the years that this concept has many followers of different ages and cultures." Through this collection, he wanted to convey the aesthetics of high fashion to the younger generation and draw the attention of this promising group by playing with sizes and proportions in addition to using unexpected shades of colors.
